WP Playhouse Board of Directors elects new President

The Winter Park Playhouse Board of Directors elects new President as the theatre expands and solidifies its new location and programming.
The Winter Park Playhouse , home to the area's most popular professional musical theatre and new Spotlight Cabaret series, has elected Dr. Judith Marlowe, a locally well known and internationally recognized professional, as the new Board President.

Dr. Marlowe , having served for the last 6 years on the theatre's board has stepped into the leadership position as of the first of the new year. "I am thrilled to be of further service to this valued Winter Park arts establishment" states Dr. Marlowe, "and as President I plan to further the mission and help expand the programs, our board size and our outreach. The Playhouse mission aims to make a positive difference by bringing the joy of musical theatre to residents and visitors. Our goal is to provide superior entertainment to Central Florida's culturally and economically diverse community . This organization is a great asset to Winter Park and merits our vigorous support."

The Winter Park Playhouse continues its Mainstage Series with "Married Alive" running January 29 through February 14, 2010. Performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm. Matinee performances at 2pm Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The popular Spotlight Cabaret Series continues with Laura Hodos performing with Chris Leavy Friday February 26 at 7:30pm and Saturday February 27 at 7:30 and 9:30 pm.
